To serve in the Kingdom of God, we must first realize that the King reigns supreme. What He says rules. If you are going to “seek first the Kingdom of God”, you obey the King. When you do the will of God, that is when the power begins to flow.
Grace is God’s willingness to involve Himself in our lives, to do whatever is necessary to position us to receive his favor, his blessing, his anointing and all the riches of His Kingdom. He desires grace and peace to be multiplied to us. Not just added to, but increased exponentially!
And how does that happen? II Peter chapter 1 shows us that it is “through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord” that our grace and peace increases like this.
The angel told Mary in Luke chapter 1 that .”…His Kingdom shall have no end”. His kingdom reigns supreme, even in this earth today, when it is implemented. If you are going to be a part of that kingdom, you must get that revelation knowledge that multiplies kingdom resources to you.
How do you do that? Your study of God’s Word must be like the meals you eat. We get more nutrition out of foods consumed when we thoroughly chew them, right? In the same way, you must meditate on the scriptures, turning them over and over in your mind. until the truth there becomes a part of you. Only then will we be equipped to move forward on kingdom business.
Bishop David Oyedepo of Nigeria tells the story of how his ministry came to expand into a territory of that country, Lagos, that was steeped in witchcraft. This was considered the darkest of darkness. Yet God directed him to plant a church there that today is thriving. Because of his close walk with the Lord, his dedication to seeking and finding that rhemaword, that revelation knowledge he was certain of this kingdom assignment from the first time he visited the property and so obeyed.
The Kingdom of God is within us. Jesus told us that. The territory that He rules over is your heart, your soul, your spirit if you choose to submit to Him. As you walk consistently in obedience to his directives, that Kingdom principle of multiplication can operate in your life. The blessings flow in without you even asking.
Back to God’s Word being our daily bread, as Jesus said in the wilderness confrontation with the devil. Remember, He said you cannot live by bread alone but by every word of God. That “word” is rhema, quickened revelation knowledge that the logos, written word, becomes when it is thoroughly digested with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Then grace and peace are multiplied to you! The resources of heaven flow to you. He has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness. We simply have to be positioned to receive them. An inheritance of which you are unaware would never reach you to bless you. So, I’m telling you that these things are there for you in the Kingdom of God.
When Jesus addresses the church at Laodicea in the Revelation, He is speaking to a group of people content with their earthly status and possessions, who were living like spiritual paupers, even though they were heirs to riches beyond measure in the Kingdom of God. They and we need to understand that this heavenly bank account is ours for the taking.
How do you withdraw from what is laid up for you? By faith, genuine Bible faith shown in our thoughts, words, actions and deeds. From the beginning of your life to the end of your life, and the entire sojourn in between, God has already provided anything and everything you and I will ever need. I say it is time for us to start withdrawing.
